At West Mountain Animal Hospital, we understand pet emergencies don’t happen on a convenient schedule and your pet’s health is our highest priority. During office hours we will do our best to see all of our current patients but we may refer to an area emergency clinic in certain circumstances.
If you have any medical questions or concerns after hours, you can still reach a veterinary professional with our GuardianVets partners by calling our hospital through our main number. If it is a medical emergency one of the local doctors will be contacted prior to 10 pm. If after 10 pm or for advanced after-hour care, medical emergencies will be referred to:

Here are some clear signs that your pet needs urgent veterinary care:
Severe bleeding
Choking or difficulty breathing
Inability to urinate or defecate
Ingestion of a known toxin
Heatstroke or hypothermia
Seizures
Significant Lameness
Eye injury
Encounter with a wild animal
Trauma injury, such as being hit by a car or falling from a great height
Bleeding from the nose, mouth, or rectum
Suspected fractures
Persistent vomiting or diarrhea
Labor lasting longer than an hour
